Welcome to all of my Red Group runners! I'm so excited to run with everyone this year. I was so glad to see so many familiar faces at the kick-off this morning and can't wait to get to know all the new members as well.

If you want to introduce yourselves - we'd love to get to know you. :)

Here's a bit about me (I just copied this off the coaches' page on the main website - shhh!!)

I was born into running, as my father was a marathon runner for decades. I grew up playing in the sand of the long-jump pit and watching him as he ran his speed intervals around the track. I was on the track team in junior high, then pretty much took the next dozen years off of running. Like many others, I came back to running as a way to drop some of the baby weight I'd picked up with my second child, but I soon became addicted to the sport. I've run seven marathons (along with countless other races). Some have been fantastic - and some turned out much differently than I had planned. You name it, I've seen it on marathon morning; from 95 degree temperatures, to cold and raining the whole race, to winds in excess of 40 mph, to the most perfect day for a marathon you could imagine. I immerse myself in running; reading everything I can get my hands on on the subject, and trying multiple different training programs and theories. This will be my third year running with Salt Lake Fit. I served as the assistant coach over the Blue/Green group last year, and this is my first year as a head coach. :)
