I am in too! Will be my first marathon race.

Oh by the way, it would probably be a good idea to book a hotel soon (or find a place to stay) wouldn't it? I wouldn't want to be trying to book a room after 7200 people have already filled everything up!

Yes, find a hotel as soon as you can! Don't bother looking online though, as all of the St. George hotels block out the marathon dates on their websites. You have to call each hotel to find a spot. And expect that they will have a policy of a mandatory 2 night stay. Seems like that's standard for marathon weekend as well.

In the past Salt Lake Fit has had an agreement with a hotel down there where they hold a certain amount of rooms for us. Amber would be the one to say if that's the case this year or not. ;)

And one other thing that you may want to look into, and which is what I've done for this year - Check for vacation condos/ homes for rent in the area. If you split the cost of them between people (so if you have a 3 bedroom house and have three people staying in it) it is often times cheaper than a hotel. ;)

Has anybody heard if there are extra slots for St. George that might be opening up? I've heard rumblings over the last couple of weeks.

We've been trying to see what we can do to get some spots for the group, but have not been successful. I'm so sorry! We are hoping to get some spots for next year by volunteering at the expo, so hopefully this will be an option! Top of Utah Marathon is two weeks before St. George and is a BEAUTIFUL run!
